For just £50 we are offering 25 cds copies delivered to a UK mainland address and free promotion for your release. That's 3 months of helping you spread your band name, all for no extra cost

If you prefer a full jewel case cd with 4 page booklet and traycard, the price is £65 for 25 copies and this also includes free promotion

Cd duplication normally takes around 5 to 7 days

Offer is valid until the end of September 2014

Hefst - The Beginning

What is Hefst?
Hefst is the Icelandic word for “beginning”. So this promotions company is aimed at helping bands who are new, or would like help establishing themselves in a new market. For example, a South American band wants to gain some interest from Europe. So that’s what we do for you, we spread your name throughout the continent via reviews, forums, social media, video etc…

And this isn’t about getting people to “like” your Facebook page. This is about getting your music heard by as many people as possible.

How it works:

If you’re a new band and you have a couple of songs recorded, the best way to get heard is to give your music away for free. Just as a stepping stone to get off the bottom rung of the ladder.

So, if this is the route you’d like to take, the cost is only £25 for 3 months promotion.
And we will send off some review promos as well. But most of our time will be spent telling people about your music and where to hear/download it.

If press is what you’re after, then the cost is £50 for 3 months and the main focus is trying to get as many reviews and interviews for you as possible. We can’t guarantee that everyone will review your music, but at least 100 review requests will be sent out on your behalf. Book us for 6 months and you are looking at 250 to 300 digital promos being sent out.

And if you want a 3 month campaign, we’ll still forward on any reviews that get sent back to us after this period. We just won’t be sending out any more review requests. So your campaign might last for 4 or 5 months. But you only pay for the 3 months.

If you want a 2nd period of 3 months for either of the options above, you only pay 50 % of the original costs – so either £37.50 or £75 for the 6 month period. Again, you will still receive any reviews sent in after the promotion period has ended

And as part of the service, we can offer plenty of advice about where to sell your music, getting cd duplication, merchandise etc… It’s all included in the price.

We can also offer cd duplication at reduced rates. But because of the cost of postage, this may be more beneficial to UK bands.

And there’s also a 3rd option for bands. If you want your promotion for free, it is possible to license your music to us to reproduce 25 copies of your demo/EP. You retain all of the rights to your music, we just get to duplicate and sell the 25 copies with no royalties due to the band.

Or if you have cd copies already made, 15 copies of the finished article can also be used as payment.

This 3rd option is offered, depending on what release you have to promote. If you just have a one track single, for example, this wouldn’t be viable for us to do.

The SMALL print and a bit about us

All of the above is based upon sending out digital promos. If you want to send out cds and/or tapes, then the price per promo is about £2.50 to £3. And that’s just for the UK and it doesn’t guarantee a review. Sending out a cd to Europe + the price of the tape or cd and you are looking at nearly £5 a time. So digital is definitely the cheapest option.

All payments must be in UK £’s – Pounds Sterling. A rough estimate is that £25 equals just over 31 Euros and in US dollars, it’s about $42

And for your money, we work our asses off. That much we guarantee.

Most of the work is done by Steve and when things are busier, she who gets obeyed quite often, Sam, will be on hand to help out. We both work from home, so can answer most questions straight away during normal office hours, Monday to Friday 9 til 5. Apart from when we sneak off to the gym.

We’re both Metalheads, so we love what we do. And we’re based in the UK
